Please join us for the Toronto-area IBM Z Customer Council meeting.  In this session, you will hear insight from customers and IBM on topics of interest to executives, architects, and senior technical staff among our Z clients.
First, we’ll start with Michael Perera, Vice President, IBM Z Software Sales to share with us the Z Systems Digital Transformation Roadmap to support enterprise moving toward the journey to cloud and climbing up the AI ladder.

This will be followed by Jerry Kalyn, Manager, DevOps Continuous Delivery, RBC on the DevOps Journey for Z at RBC. Jerry will share with us their experience in modernizing their mainframe development with agile process and modern tools to create an automated delivery pipeline that allows for rapid delivery and granular deployment.

Then Jayakar Manickam, IBM DevOps Accelerator Program Manager, IBM Canada Lab, will drill down into more details of Git and Dependency Based Build (DBB) to help understand how to take full advantage of a modern source code manager for parallel development and an intelligent build system for z/OS applications

After lunch, Dan Little, Senior Director, Mainframe Operating Systems, RBC Tech Infrastructure will discuss RBC’s Dataset Encryption Journey with Pervasive Encryption.  Dan will talk on RBC’s journey so far with Mainframe Dataset Encryption which is a subset of the larger topic of Pervasive Encryption on the mainframe.   He will cover planning, prerequisites, bumps in the road, and a glimpse of their future plans.

In our final session, we are pleased to have Marcel Mitran, Distinguished Engineer & CTO LinuxONE shows us why there is a major momentum with more and more clients deploying Enterprise Private Cloud with Linux on Z and LinuxONE.
