Abstract: 

IIs continuous availability and optimized usage of your IMS systems and data important to your business? For most organizations, the answer is a strong “yes” as IMS serves as the ‘backbone’ of their business’s computing operations.

Having a “health check” review of IMS at your installation can help identify risk factors that could jeopardize your running of IMS systems. A periodic review of items such as your IMS configuration settings, including the discovery of inconsistencies and irregularities in IMS parameter specifications which can lead to inefficiencies (such as wasted CPU, slow response times, unexpected outages) can be made, then adjusted to ensure that you are getting the best from IMS.

By attending this session, you will learn what an IMS health check is, its purpose, and how it is performed.  The variable scope of the process will be taught as well as providing an understanding of the value of performing regular and frequent health check reviews.  

IBM’s IMS Performance Analyzer will be used during the discussion as the reporting tool to highlight key points and findings of the IMS health check discovery process.
