In this session, we will update you on IBM’s latest developments in z/OS, System Management, DevOps and Mobile.
Our first speaker, Bill Flynn, will give an overview of IBM UrbanCode Deploy. IT Organizations must address the culture, process, and tool gaps across the entire software delivery lifecycle – spanning mobile to mainframe. Bill will show how UrbanCode is enabling clients to more rapidly deliver mobile, cloud, big data and traditional applications with high quality and low risk.

Our second speaker, Joe Gailey, will provide CICS Tools Highlights. IBM CICS Tools support IBM CICS Transaction Server to improve operational efficiency and service agility. Development, systems, and operational teams can adopt a collaborative, DevOps approach when building and deploying CICS applications and infrastructure. With CICS V5.2, it is now quicker and easier than ever to build mobile-enabled applications and deploy them in a CICS cloud.

Then, Eduardo Oliveira will give a presentation and demo of z Systems Virtualization Management with IBM WAVE. He will do a high level overview of the architecture and discuss some of the capabilities offered by IBM WAVE that simplify the deployment of Linux on z, enabling application owners and/or authorized users to manage applications without deep z Systems-specific skills. The graphical user interface enables operations such as live guest relocation and image cloning with a few clicks of a mouse. It also offers a system dashboard to indicate the system status, enabling monitoring and simple problem determination.
