In this presentation, we will take a closer look at the LinuxONE platform to uncover its unique capabilities that set it apart from x86 alternatives. We will explore the performance and scalability advantages of LinuxONE, delve into its security features, and demonstrate how you can leverage the platform to help achieve your sustainability goals while reducing costs. You will discover why clients worldwide have chosen LinuxONE to modernize their IT infrastructures.
Robert Catterall – Watsonx Code Assistant
Many organizations have operationally important z/OS-based COBOL applications that have become challenging. They might be monolithic, impeding code re-use. They might have components developed over multiple decades, making enhancement and maintenance difficult. Modernizing these applications has been a daunting task. Enter IBM watsonx Code Assistant for Z – a new software technology that harnesses the power of generative AI and an IBM-trained large language model to enable refactoring, transformation and validation of legacy mainframe applications to enhance their value and maintainability. This session will explain how IBM watsonx Code Assistant for Z propels the journey from COBOL to Java with specificity and interoperability, while preserving the qualities of application service for which the z/OS platform is known.
Randy Young – Security and Compliance Center
The compliance space is constantly evolving as regulations continue to increase rapidly in volume and complexity. The complexity is increased even more when an organization has to manage a variety of standards and regulations, especially in each of the geographies and countries it operates in. Adding to the challenge is the fact that the data required to demonstrate compliance comes from a variety of sources within a given system and across a hybrid cloud environment. Pulling all of this information together for an overall view of a business’ compliance posture is a difficult and time-consuming task. IBM Z Security and Compliance Center (zSCC) removes the complexity out of the IBM Z compliance workflow and the ambiguity out of audits through automated fact collection and mapping to comply with security standards.
