Join Us!

To see and discuss some of the most exciting developments around IBM Z

Our first speaker Paul Cadarette will open the day reviewing common customer data replication use cases and discuss which of IBM’s data replication solutions would address those requirements. Software-based Data Replication solutions are becoming increasingly popular , as enterprises transition from ETL/ELT based data movement requirements to (Near) Real-time synchronization requirements. Multiple use cases rely on a real-time synchronized copies of System Of Record (SOR) data. Use cases, such as CQRS, Continuous Availability, Analytics, Warehousing, Eventing, Landing zones and Lakehouses are just some of the use cases handled by products in the IBM Data Replication portfolio. This session will review that portfolio and discuss examples of how these products can be used to address those use cases

Next, Glenn Wilcock will dive into how Cloud Object Storage can help lower your TCO for data storage. During this session, the speakers will provide a roadmap for leveraging Hybrid Cloud Storage as another tier for your z/OS data. This session will identify use cases for implementing the many alternatives. Whether it is through IBM storage only (TS7700), DFSMS in combination with storage (DFSMShsm/dss, DS8900, TS7700), software only with Cloud Tape Connector, Cloud Data Access (CDA), DFSMS Cloud Data Manager (DFSMScdm) or OAM for unstructured data, or a combination of them all.

Finally, Steve Warren will take you through a whirlwind tour of the latest enhancements available in z/OS 3.1! You will learn how IBM has infused AI into the operating system to provide the highest levels of availability as well as a plethora of other new reliability, performance, system management, application modernization, data storage, networking, and security enhancements made to IBM’s flagship operating system on IBM Z.

After the presentations, you are welcome to join us for discussions and happy hour!

Description:

In December of 2014, Surly opened the new Destination Brewery, increasing production capacity to 100,000 barrels a year. Construction progressed through the coldest Minnesota winter in more than three decades, and record spring rainfall. The Surly way is not the easy way. Just a decade after the idea of Surly Brewing Co. began, the brewery is expanding distribution beyond Minnesota. Looks like Surly Brewing will be sticking around.
