There have been many developments in the IBM Z world, and we would like to highlight some of the most exciting topics. We will cover how the platform has evolved to deliver new business services and capabilities.
John Hogan (21CS) – Hybrid Cloud & AI
In this highly interactive session, Senior Solutions Architect John Hogan, will facilitate discussion around using the cloud to store z/OS data and data sharing across applications and platforms. Following the discussion, he will then explore the use of cloud object storage to easily, reliably, and securely select and share z/OS data whether sharing is being done between sysplexes or within non-z/OS platforms.
Prent Rodgers & Sunayana Sharma (IBM) – Watsonx Assistant for Z

Rizwana Arshad will discuss IBM Db2 Data Gate for Watsonx. Data from mainframe operational applications is critical to cloud, analytics, mobile and AI applications. IBM Data Gate revolutionizes the way organizations synchronize transactional data originating on IBM Z.
Shelly Meierarend (IBM) – Z Skills Programs
Come learn all about what IBM has available to offer clients through various programs and offerings. Shelly will share how the IBM Z Global Skills Accelerator Program is wildly successful amongst our clients and that many are continuing to use it as a consistent pipeline into their hiring and skills development. Also, working with local universities around the world they are conducting Z Career Connection events that bring clients, universities, and students together. They are also gearing up for a Virtual Career Fair that you can take advantage of in April. These are just a few of the programs and offerings that you can start utilizing and taking advantage of today!
