IBM Z Fall Classic: AI on the Mainframe

We will start the day with an overview and demo of IBM watsonx Code Assistant for Z (WCAz), a tool designed to accelerate the mainframe application lifecycle with generative AI and automation. Enable enterprise agility and enhance developer skills through application discovery, analysis, code explanation, refactoring, COBOL to Java transformation, and validation capabilities.

Next, see a demonstration of IBM watsonx Assistant for Z (WAz), an AI-powered assistant that will unlock new levels of productivity for those working on the Z platform. We will discuss how WAz packages decades of experience and best practices in order to reduce the learning curve for new programmers, enhance efficiency, and ultimately boost productivity.

We will then discuss IBM Data Gate, a secure data management solution designed to provide valuable IBM Z data to your enterprise data and AI architectures. Synchronize IBM Z data to the cloud for simple and efficient data access, and decrease the cost of data availability through zIIP offload

We will finish with a preview of the IBM Telum II Processor and IBM Spyre Accelerator, two hardware enhancements that are designed to provide significant performance improvements in the next-generation of IBM Z systems, Learn how to leverage these next-gen enhancements to infuse AI into enterprise transactions for fraud detection and other use cases.
