There have been many developments in the IBM Z world, and we are bringing in IBM technical executives to the Carolinas to speak to you. Our theme for the Raleigh session on Oct. 29 is DevOps and AIOps, while the theme for Charlotte on Nov. 7 is AI and Automation.
The Raleigh Z council is taking advantage of our Z DevOps and AIOps development teams being located in RTP. The morning will focus on DevOps and the afternoon will focus on Performance and Systems Management.
A trio from development will share details on the new IBM Test Accelerator for Z. Gerald Mitchell, STSM and Test Tools Chief Architect, Randy Campbell, IBM z/OS Debug Architect, and Alisa Morse, DevOps for IBM Z Transformation Lead, led the development of this new bundle of testing tools in support of shift left testing.
The IBM CIO office is undergoing a major transformation in the past few years. Danny Mulick, Application Developer in IBM CIO, has a great story to share on a project he worked on showing the value of DevOps. Rosalind Radcliffe, IBM Fellow and CTO of DevSecOps, IBM CIO, will join him in this session.
The morning will close with a session by Suman Gopinath, IBM Distinguished Engineer and CTO, IBM Z DevOps, to discuss the latest in building pipelines for z/OS applications and environments along with other DevOps subjects.
IBM’s recent acquisition of IntelliMagic will open the afternoon sessions. Todd Havekost, IBM IntelliMagic Z Performance Consultant, and Dan Wiegand, Principal Product Manager, IBM Z AIOps, will share the ways that IntelliMagic Vision for z/OS drives new levels of understanding on on the performance of your z/OS systems.
Dan Wiegand will close out the day discussing several new capabilities and offerings for modern systems management using the IBM AIOps product family.
