Our first speaker Steve Warren will explore the AI on IBM Z ecosystem and discuss how to leverage AI frameworks, tools and software to deliver new value with AI. Learn how Telum II, IBM Spyre Accelerator and the new capabilities in z17 enable a wide range of use cases.  Make better business decisions by leveraging the strengths of AI infused into IBM Z and LinuxONE applications.  Explore new paradigms enabled by these new technologies, including new multi-model AI architecture patterns which leverage the strength of LLMs to help IBM Z clients make better business decisions.

Next, Marco Cruz-Martinez will cover IBM’s Security Compliance Center (zSCC). Compliance audits are often a major time drain, taking staff away from more pressing efforts to satisfying auditor’s demands and stitching together data from multiple sources. The IBM Z and LinuxONE Security and Compliance Center will help take the complexity out of your compliance workflow and the ambiguity out of audits.

Then, Nicole Camara and Matthew Schmithorst will present Observability, OpenTelemetry and IBM Z. OpenTelemetry is open-source, vendor-agnostic framework for operational (telemetry) data and has seen rapid adoption across distributed IT in recent years with most observability platform vendors now offering support. Expansion to the mainframe unlocks new avenues for gaining visibility into hybrid applications and supporting infrastructure. Learn about IBM’s investment into OpenTelemetry across IBM Z to improve operational insights and enable end-to-end observability.

To close the day, Richard Ruppel will be speaking on IBM Z Data Modernization. With data being considered a precious resource by companies, getting the most value from that resource is critical. This session will cover the benefits of data gravity – not sending your data all over, leveraging AI with both business and operational data on IBM Z, and making IBM Z data more consumable in a hybrid cloud environment.
