Skyla Loomis is the VP for the IBM Z Application Platform software portfolio which includes the most secure, highest performing. and lowest total cost of ownership transaction processing and database systems such as IMS, CICS, and z/TPF. She’s responsible for strategy, product management, software engineering, support, and services for the Z Application Platform as well our z/OS synergy with Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. She’s been with IBM 19 years and held development leadership roles across public cloud, mobile, business analytics, data warehousing, and NoSQL. Passionate about culture, she’s led agile transformation journeys across multiple teams.

Kyle Charlet is the CTO for IBM Z Software and a Distinguished Engineer.
Kyle’s focus areas include the Application Platform, Hybrid Cloud and Compiler strategies. He continues to be involved in the cloud native developer experience and the API economy for IBM Z. The cloud native focus is centered on bringing the key values of a cloud experience to the Z platform: developer self-service, integration with market dominant and open solutions for CI/CD pipelines, IDE flexibility, and operational insight. His API economy focus involves API enablement of the platform to participate in hybrid cloud topologies as well as management and security of those APIs. His focus has been on bringing cloud value to Z in addition to Z value to cloud.
