Overview

This session will describe and show the new CICS resource builder in action. The CICS resource builder is a new DevOps utility, included with the CICS TS license, that provides a way to automate the creation and maintenance of CICS application resource definitions by using a configuration-as-code approach – where CICS resources are stored with the application code.

With CICS resource builder, system programmers can create resource models in YAML that enforce best practices and organization standards, and application developers can create valid, compliant application resource definitions with a guided experience. Your DevOps process automates the build and deployment of those resources with the application code. The CICS resource builder works with CICS TS 5.4 and above so you can start using it today.
