Overview

This session will provide an abbreviated discussion of the material in the CICS upgrading documentation. We will address some of the key actions one needs to consider when planning to upgrade, changes between the two releases, as well as a summarization of the tasks required to move from CICS TS v5.6 to CICS TS v6.1. We will also show how various CICS tools can reduce upgrade times and reduce associated risks.

This session will be presented by Steve Fowlkes from the Americas technical team and Eric Higgins from the US Financial technical team.
