We are back!
We are thrilled to announce an in-person IBM Z Customer Council in Dallas.
There have been many developments in the IBM Z world, and we would like to highlight some of the most exciting topics.
Our first speaker, Robert Catterall, will kick off the day with a presentation on IBM Db2 13 for z/OS. In this session, Robert will provide information on migrating to Db2 13, along with a technical overview of the most significant enhancements provided by Db2 13, from SQL Data Insights and application-specific lock timeout and more.
Next, Kenishia Callaway will cover IBM z/OS Connect – IBM’s strategic solution for providing REST API based communication both into and out of the mainframe. You will learn how z/OS Connect can be used in a modernization journey while retaining the well-developed systems that differentiate company value. She will also provide a look at the capabilities of the z/OS Connect OpenAPI 3 implementation of the product.
Steve Warren will close out the day with the latest on z/OS Container Extensions (zCX) and z/OS 3.1 and how to get the most out of it. Learn the possibilities of running Linux on Z binaries directly on z/OS using zCX and the value proposition this provides to your business. He will briefly discuss both zCX solutions: the Docker-based and the newer zCX for Openshift. Then, you will hear about all the new functions in z/OS 3.1, including how we have infused AI into the operating system to provide the highest levels of availability.
