We are back!
We are thrilled to announce an in-person IBM Z Customer Council in Boston, MA
There have been many developments in the IBM Z world, and we would like to highlight some of the most exciting topics in modernization across the platform.
To kick off our day, Andrew Bowker will help us understand how we can Simplify Mainframe Operations with IBM Concert for Z. IBM Concert for Z helps organizations get more value from existing mainframe tools, reduce incidents, and proactively ensure business continuity across IBM Z, distributed, and multi-cloud environments. Andrew will discuss and demo key use cases such as avoiding mainframe maintenance risks, automating certificate renewal/compliance, anomaly detection, event correlation, and AI-assisted troubleshooting.
Next, Mitchell Bride will provide a brief overview of What’s New in IBM z17 and LinuxONE 5 Hardware. Mitch’s session will highlight the new functions and features in the next generation of IBM Z and LinuxONE hardware. Attendees can expect to learn about the latest advances in the IBM z17 and LinuxONE 5 and how to prepare for the new technology. This will include details on the enhanced processor design, new I/O, physical planning considerations, and much more.
To complement the preceeding session on new hardware investments, Jonathan Sloan will dive into a Tech Byte introduction on Solving Today’s IT Challenges with Linux on IBM Z and LinuxONE. Jonathan will provide an overview of how Linux on IBM Z and LinuxONE supports modern hybrid-cloud strategies. He’ll walk through today’s infrastructure challenges and explain how these platforms help organizations build secure, scalable, and efficient environments.
Lastly, after lunch, Joshua Stiles from 21CS will close out our day with a presentation on Operational Excellence. Join Josh as he explores what’s next for enterprise resiliency while breaking down the latest regulations, best practices, and data-driven insights that make the case for moving beyond siloed solutions to a enterprise-wide automated and strategic strategy that enables growth, efficiency, and business agility. Discover how aligning your resilience strategy with business goals can drive efficiency, reduce risk, and ensure ROI.
