Intro to IBM Cloud Private for IBM Z Wildfire Workshop – Dallas, TX
-
November 14, 2018
9:00 AM EST - 4:00 PM EST
Introduction
Applications are increasingly moving to a “cloud-native” format – implemented as Docker containers. This provides greater flexibility in application portability, scalability, and management. Cloud native applications can be implemented in both public and private clouds. Many clients have found the IBM Z and LinuxOne platforms, an excellent environment for deploying cloud native applications due to the security, performance, and scaling capabilities found only on those platforms. The growth of Hybrid Cloud implementations makes the platform and integral component to these efforts. Cloud native applications can be deployed on IBM Z and integrate with standalone, enterprise, or public cloud environments, This can support efforts such as DevOps, Mobile, and Analytics components in a very flexible, scalable, and secure manner. This workshop demonstrates to use of IBM Cloud Private with the IBM Z platform for the deployment and management of a private cloud.
