The Basics of Managed ACBs and Data Definition Language Are you tired of waiting for IMS changes in your environment to be generated, scheduled and approved by Change Control in order to make your IMS program or database changes? What if you didn’t need to wait? IMS Catalog and Managed ACBs provide database administrators a modernized capability to quickly visualize, maintain and create resources to be used in an IMS Environment. Using IMS Catalog and IMS Managed ACBs, resource definitions and application control blocks can be updated using Data Definition Language while your IMS is running. Use the newly created metadata for improved application development, resource identification, auditing and analysis of IMS data in place. Immediately available resources! No middle of the night outage! Best of all, |
