Learn what CICS provides to the Health Checker

Overview

This session will provide background information as to what the z/OS health checker is. The checks which have been provided by CICS for the health checker are then outlined. The first checks were provided in CICS TS 5.4 and a much larger number of checks were added in CICS TS 6.1. This session discusses both sets of checks. A method of controlling which checks are run by the use of CICS tags in CICS TS 6.1 will also be explained.

z/OS Systems Programmers, z/OS Connect Administrators, CICS systems programmers, Security administrators, architects/leads, and managers.
