Overview

Java enablement continues to be a key element of CICS TS V6 releases.  IBM Semeru Runtime Certified Edition for z/OS is a production-ready SDK that helps developers build and run Java applications. It is built using the OpenJDK class libraries and the Eclipse OpenJ9 JVM and fully implements the Java Standard Edition APIs providing z/OS developers the ability to leverage new Java language features and stay current with the Java community
This session will detail the support in CICS TS  JVM servers  for the latest Java 11, 17 and 21 Semeru versions along with recent evolutions in the Java Enterprise Edition and Spring Boot frameworks. Upgrade strategies for JVM server configurations will be detailed along with a discussion of any potential application changes required to ensure a seamless migration.
