Learn about OpenAPI 3 Experiences and Observations

Overview

z/OS Connect recently added for support for developing RESTful APIs for accessing z/OS resources based on OpenAPI 3 specification documents. The z/OS Connect tooling for OpenAPI3 development contains both a designer and a runtime component and runs in containers on various platforms.
This session provides information from a Washington Systems Center perspective on the installation and configuration of container runtime environments as well as the installation and service of the z/OS Connect containers themselves. This session will provide our recommendations and best practices on how to configure and administer the runtime environment and z/OS Connect containers. Topics that will be covered include basic security, transport layer security (TLS) from the containers to CICS and problem determination and isolation techniques.
