Overview

If you want to understand how CICS is evolving and what the future might hold, then this session is for you. Originally developed for the public utility industry, CICS has prospered for 55 years, demonstrating the ability to evolve and integrate the latest application languages and frameworks, while continuing to support, enhance, and extend customer investment in existing applications.

Fraser Bohn, Chief Architect for CICS, will highlight recent enhancements in CICS Transaction Server Versions 5 and 6 and provide some insight to what users might expect in future releases.

z/OS Systems Programmers, z/OS Connect Administrators, CICS systems programmers, Security administrators, architects/leads, and managers.
