Overview

This session discusses the capabilities of how VSAM RLS/TVS provides full data sharing and transactional capabilities to your existing VSAM files in a parallel SYSPLEX.

By exploiting SYSLPEX, and in particular Coupling Facility (CF) shared structures, RLS can provide the necessary serialization and buffer invalidation necessary for full read/write integrity across multiple LPARs, resulting in improved scalability and availability.
