IPv6: the What, the Why, the How

It’s 2020. We’re in a pandemic. Places are either on fire or flooded. There’s political and social unrest. The last thing you need is dissatisfied customers and internet limitations because you didn’t move to IPv6. But what is IPv6, you may ask. How did we get to a point where we are running out of internet?! (Spoiler: We already did.) And by the way, what ever happened to version 5? We will discuss all of the answers, why they’re important, and what’s happening next. Moving to IPv6 proactively keeps your customers happy and prevents technical limitations associated with IP addressing. Oh, and if you have an IBM Communications Server, we’ll talk about how to transition to IPv6 and what that means for your business.
