Join us!

For our Fall 2024 session, we would like to showcase some of the most exciting developments around IBM Z.

.

To kick off the day, Steve Warren will discuss what’s new in z/OS 3.1 and how to get the most out of it. This session will cover the latest developments in the product, including how we have infused AI into the operating system to provide the highest levels of availability. You will also get an introduction to the implementation of z/OS 3.1.

Next, Rafael Nunes Martins will show us how to leverage generative AI solutions to simplify and optimize the way developers, operators, and programmers interact and manage the IBM Z platform. IBM watsonx Assistant for Z brings a conversational AI assistant that provides accurate answers to your questions and its integrated automation provides instructions to perform tasks. It not only enhances your learning experience but also guides you take actions to resolve issues.

Data gravity – the idea that queries and analytical requests should flow to large concentrations of data on the system of origin – is important, but there are situations in which putting some of your z/OS-based data “into orbit” makes sense. For those situations, IBM Data Gate is the ideal launch vehicle. In this session, Artem Minin will provide an overview of the three “flavors” of Data Gate – all of which can provide a copy of z/OS-based data in a cloud environment efficiently and with low latency. You will also see the latest edition of Data Gate – Data Gate for watsonx – in action.

Our last speaker, Dennis Moore, will introduce our newest addition to the Observability space.   IBM Z IntelliMagic Vision for z/OS® is advanced performance analysis software designed for mainframe environments, including CICS, Db2, Systems, MQ, Storage, z/OS Connect, and IMS. It enables flexible data analysis through intuitive dashboards and customizable reports, enhancing team efficiency and decision-making. IntelliMagic Vision’s no-code visualizations help analysts identify risks and optimize workload performance.
