You’re invited to join us for the next session of the Linux on IBM Z Systems Executive Advisory Council. We launched this council in 2002 in order to garner your insights and foster communications among the Linux on IBM Z community.
The Sept 7th council will kick off by welcoming Dan Kohn, Executive Director of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation. Dan will discuss how continuous integration (CI) is the component of cloud-native computing that generates the most value and is essential for delivering secure software. Next on the agenda, David Simpson from the IBM Washington Systems Center will give an update on Oracle for Linux on Z. This will include the latest on Spectrum Scale and Oracle Databases, Oracle release update news, and Pervasive Encryption solutions for Oracle on IBM Z. After the break, Brian Hugenbruch, IBM Z Security Development for Virtualization and Cloud, will discuss Pervasive Encryption in the z/VM and Linux on Z space. In the final presentation of the day, Ranga Sathianarayanan, Temenos Chief Product Officer, will talk about their leading core banking solution and the benefits it gets from running on Linux on Z.
