IBM z16 Update
This session will look at the IBM z16 3932’s core design and architecture. Exploring the new Telum chip improvements in the cache design and how it works within the system as well as changes in the memory. We will cover the layout of the system including new footprint changes and discuss some of the new features coming to the IBM z16 like the new AI Inferencing Accelerator.  Jim Fyffe from Evolving Solutions will complement this discussion by sharing insight on Evolving Solutions recent ESP experience installing an IBM z16 3932 model AGZ within their innovation lab.

IBM zSystems Security
Your IBM zSystems® technology provides the most securable foundation for cyber resiliency—as proven by the recent ITIC study, which found that only 0.3% of IBM zSystems servers suffered a successful data breach. However, you need to use the tools and knowledge at your fingertips to get this level of security and reduce your risk. Although the IBM Z platform is considered the most securable platform, it doesn’t mean that it’s not being actively targeted by malicious actors. Ensuring the security and privacy of your data is harder now than it has ever been. It’s imperative that you secure and protect the data that you have been collecting to safeguard it from being stolen or held for ransom

Unleashing the Power of AI on IBM zSystems: Enabling AI for Enterprise Success
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is important and applicable to all aspects of our clients’ business, and AI adoption continues to rise in businesses around the world.  In this session, we will dive into the new AI capabilities IBM has delivered with z16’s Telum chip to enable clients to leverage AI at scale and in real-time on every business transaction to improve fraud detection, deepen customer insights and drive faster IT decisions to create new revenue opportunities. In addition, we’ll discuss a broad range of AI use cases that demonstrate the benefits of leveraging AI in enterprise applications.

Description:

In December of 2014, Surly opened the new Destination Brewery, increasing production capacity to 100,000 barrels a year. Construction progressed through the coldest Minnesota winter in more than three decades, and record spring rainfall. The Surly way is not the easy way. Just a decade after the idea of Surly Brewing Co. began, the brewery is expanding distribution beyond Minnesota. Looks like Surly Brewing will be sticking around.
