There have been many developments in the IBM Z world, and we would like to highlight some of the most exciting topics.

Our first speaker, Meral Temel, will give an update on our newest generation of IBM Systems – the IBM z17. She will highlight new functions and features that are important to consider when configuring the next generation of IBM Z hardware. z/OS 3.2 has just been announced on April 8 and will be generally available at the end of September this year. Meral will give a taste of some of the new capabilities that will be available in 3.2 and also discuss the plethora of enhancements provided in z/OS 3.1 and new functions added since its release.

Next, Rodney Oxford will present on the latest and greatest – IBM watsonx™ Assistant for Z. You will learn how the AI assistant provides users with accurate, up-to-date answers to their IBM Z queries and simplifies the execution of both complex and repeated tasks, by codifying the knowledge of Z experts into trusted set of automations that can be used by IBM Z users of all experience levels.

We will then have Patrick Chan introduce IBM Concert for Z, a powerful new solution designed to unify and transform disparate operational data into advanced, actionable insights. In this session, you’ll discover how IBM Concert for Z accelerates issue resolution and optimizes system management.

Next, Shelly Meierarend will show what IBM has available to offer clients through various programs and offerings.  Shelly will share how the IBM Z Global Skills Accelerator Program is wildly successful amongst our clients and that many are continuing to use it as a consistent pipeline into their hiring and skills development.

Finally, our host Brian Bradford from CDW will lead a discussion on mainframe software.
