The mainframe landscape is continually changing. We will introduce you to the most exciting new developments on the platform.
To start the day, Joanie Gines will provide an Executive Welcome and discuss IBM’s committment to the platform. She will highlight the advancements in AI and continuing investment in HW development.
Next will be a presentation by Rafael Nunes Martins on the latest and greatest, IBM watsonx™ Assistant for Z. You will learn how the AI assistant provides users with accurate, up-to-date answers to their IBM Z queries and simplifies the execution of both complex and repeated tasks, by codifying the knowledge of Z experts into trusted set of automations that can be used by IBM Z users of all experience levels.
Then, Jen Walker will share insights around IBM Z DevOps. Pressures abound demand faster delivery of business value. To increase business agility, the ability to deliver business capability faster, organizations are embracing DevOps and redefining how they work. How has this manifested itself on the mainframe? In this session Jen will explore the what, the why, and the how of DevOps in the context of delivering mainframe application changes and infrastructure changes. Whether your organization is new to DevOps or you are already on a journey, this session will help you plan your next step.
Continuing the day, Steve Warren will provide an AI on IBM Z Update as well as a quick IBM Z Hardware Update. He will cover the new AI capabilities IBM that have been delivered to enable clients to leverage AI at scale and in real-time on every business transaction to improve fraud detection, deepen customer insights and drive faster IT decisions to create new revenue opportunities. He will also discuss new and upcoming AI use cases that demonstrate the benefits of leveraging AI in enterprise applications.
After that, hear a quick update from IBM’s Z Ecosystem Global Skills Leader, Shelly Meierarend on zSkills. Shelly will highlight some of the amazing programs and offerings that you can start to utilize today.
To end the day, Jack Opgenorth will introduce our newest addition to the Observability space. IBM Z IntelliMagic Vision for z/OS® is advanced performance analysis software designed for mainframe environments, including CICS, Db2, Systems, MQ, Storage, z/OS Connect, and IMS. This session will be a live demonstration showing how the powerful capabilities of IntelliMagic Vision bring enhanced visibility to metrics across the Z platform to enhance performance and availability at your site. Jack will discuss types of capabilities that enable you to derive actionable insights from your SMF data demonstrated through actual use cases.
