IBM will host a webex for the newly announced IBM z/OS Connect EE Administration Wildfire workshop on December 1, 2021 from 1:00pm – 3:30pm (Eastern Time)

Introduction
Cloud and mobile applications have reshaped the way enterprises and systems interact. The dominate standard for new application development for these new environments uses RESTful APIs for sending and receiving JSON formatted messages to backend services. IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition provides a framework that enables new application development using RESTful APIs and JSON messages for accessing z/OS based services and data when developing new cloud and mobile applications for the enterprise uniting z/OS into the Cloud infrastructure.

The administration of Liberty servers with the z/OS Connect product is probably new to your organization. But even if Liberty or z/OS Connect is not new in your organization, attending this workshop should make the administration and management of Liberty and z/OS Connect servers simpler and easier.

This workshop is for those who want to hear recommendations or best practices on how to simplify the OMVS environment where the configuration of Liberty and z/OS Connect is maintained. For those who want to learn about the sources of information to be used in problem determination and problem isolation. And for those who want to understand the facilities available with Java and z/OS to monitor Liberty and z/OS Connect servers consummation of system resources.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this workshop, an attendee should have the basis for:
• Configuring the Liberty and z/OS Connect OMVS directory configuration structure to simplify day to day administrative tasks.
• Become informed of the available Liberty features which could be used to manage the Liberty and z/OS Connect execution environments.
• Understand the location where problem diagnostic information can be obtained and the processes to perform analysis.
• Review the available monitoring options which can be used to review, understand, and tune the Liberty and z/OS Connect workloads.

Audience
This workshop is designed for administrators and enterprise architects who are involved with the continue administration and support of their z/OS Connect Enterprise environment.
