Join Kavita Sehgal to learn how IBM is best positioned to help clients modernize and transform! Kavita Sehgal is the offering manager bringing Private Cloud on IBM Z and LinuxONE that offers the leading edge technology & tools to modernize and enable hybrid cloud capabilities within corporate firewalls. Prior to this role, Kavita worked closely with IBM senior executives and technical leaders to shape IBM technology strategy and produce monthly reports for IBM CEO and Technology Team.

Next we have, Timothy Bryant discussing Integration for the Event-Driven Enterprise: An Enabler for Cloud.  Building event-driven applications introduces new integration patterns as we look gather the events required to driven them. These events may need to be extracted from existing backend databases, mainframe applications, analytics systems, SaaS systems, or even other cloud-native applications. This session describes different techniques for extracting these events, and explains how to make this part of your integration practices. He will also cover how these integration techniques can also be used to accelerate your move to cloud.

As Enterprises begin their modernization journeys, REST and the API economy are integral elements of their roadmaps.  There are many ways to achieve the goal of REST API enablement for the mainframe, and it can be hard to distinguish the benefits and unique value points among them.  Kenishia Callaway will illustrate how solutions such as z/OS Connect, App Connect and others can be used to modernize while retaining the well-developed systems that differentiate company value.  She also will address key considerations for choosing among the numerous API and Integration solutions.

Following, Yongkook(Alex) Kim, shows ViVa (Vicom Infinity Voice Assistant) a voice assistant that can securely interact with a mainframe using your voice and the latest technologies such as IBM Watson, Secure Services Container and Linux Foundation Open Mainframe Project’s open source tool Zowe.
