zED Talks gives our audience the opportunity to hear about game changing technology in the mainframe world from talented Subject Matter Experts! Utilizing the TED Talks inspiration of “ideas worth spreading,” this webinar series gives our speakers roughly half an hour (plus some time for Q&A) to illustrate the value of a solution or concept of his or her choosing. Ever wondered how technology buzzwords like DevOps, Blockchain, or AI fit into the Z space? There’s no better place to get an initial understanding of that than right here.

At the request of the presenters, please note that this zED Talk will run slightly longer than usual (1 hour total).

Our previous zED Talk session illustrated how IBM’s Enterprise COBOL for z/OS V6.3 introduces new cutting-edge features. This month, we will focus on migrating to COBOL 6 and when to use IBM’s Automatic Binary Optimizer (ABO)! While many customers will not see any problems migrating from older versions of COBOL, some might encounter some challenges.  This session will address how to mitigate those challenges.

Join us to discuss how your enterprise can appropriately plan for your future migration to COBOL 6.
