You are cordially invited to join us for our next zEnterprise Customer Council event on the campus of North Carolina Farm Bureau in Raleigh, NC. The goal of the council is to provide our customers in management positions and their employees a forum to learn the latest System z technologies and directions.
We’ll start off our day with a welcome from our site host, North Carolina Farm Bureau, followed by a customer presentation on how they use their System z from a business and technical perspective.
Our second presentation will be about IBM Z Storage and Cloud. Most enterprises have recently spent a lot of time, money and energy planning and/or implementing an enterprise Cloud strategy – that often doesn’t include the mainframe. This presentation will highlight how you can leverage your company’s investment in the Cloud on Z, and focus on 4 key benefits of Cloud storage on the mainframe: Scalability, Availability, Economics and Security.
After lunch, you may take a tour of our host’s data center which is located on-site. Then you’ll hear about an application allows you to Talk to the Mainframe that Vicom Infinity has developed called ViVa (Vicom Infinity Voice Assistant). ViVa shows how you can securely interact with a mainframe using your voice and the latest technologies such as IBM Watson, Secure Services Container and Linux Foundation Open Mainframe Project’s open source tool, Zowe.
We’ll end our agenda with Cognitive Operations Analytics for your IBM Z. You’ll hear how IBM Operations Analytics solutions are allowing our customers to be more proactive in identifying potential issues before their users are impacted. Real time analysis of mainframe operational data helps provide valuable insight into the current state of operational health. Integrating machine learning technology into this analysis allows customers to gain an understanding of normal operations. Continued real time analysis of both message and metric data can be used to detect when operations begin to deviate from the normal operational baseline. You can then be alerted when these deviations are forecasted to lead to broader issues allowing you to proactively take action in order to avoid any service disruptions.
